Fall/Winter Update for Services at Family Life Church
As we head into the Fall and Winter seasons, we will be maintaining proper cleaning and sanitation protocol along with social distancing guidelines. As always, we will still be live streaming our services for those who are unable to attend in person, and for those watching across the nation. It has been such a blessing to hear from so many that have been blessed by our services that do not live close enough to attend in house.
The following points are to clarify the safe protocol we will be following as a church:
1). We want you to know that the children’s areas, including the toddler room and nursery, have been deep cleaned and sanitized, including the toys. Kids are welcome to attend the worship service with their parents in the sanctuary should that be the parent’s preference.
2.) All Children’s workers will be following proper safety precautions while being with your children.
3). We ask that you keep all toys at home and only bring the essentials that’s needed to care for your child (diaper bag, bottle, wipes, etc.) to maintain the cleanliness of the sanitized areas.
4). The check in protocol for kids will be the same so that their security and well-being is first and foremost. If for any reason a child needs to leave any of the children’s areas, the parent or guardian who checked them in will be contacted to come get them.
5). We will have ‘stations’ where hand sanitizer is available and we encourage you to use it, especially after you enter the building. Weather permitting, we are planning on propping the entrance doors open so you do not have to touch the door handles. However, if weather requires the doors to be closed, we encourage you to bring your own supply of either a wipe, paper towel, Kleenex, gloves, etc. that you can use to open the door. We will not have Ushers or Safety teams opening any doors at the present time.
6). Sick or High Risk individuals are encouraged to follow the CDC guidelines for their health and safety. We encourage you to “prescreen” at home before arriving at church. With cold and flu season upon us, ask yourself these questions; Do you feel sick? Feverish? Cough and/or Runny Nose?
– Children will have their temperature taken at KidCheck and anyone with a fever of 100.5⁰ or higher will not be permitted in the children’s areas
– If you or your child(ren) feel sick, please stay home. Continue monitoring them for the symptoms listed above
7). As has been the case this year, you are encouraged to wear a mask if that makes you more comfortable. If you do not have a mask and desire one, one will be provided to you at the church.
8). We will NOT be doing Meet and Greet at this time. Please respect everyone’s personal space, however if you chose to greet people please understand the following: As we leave, we will be dismissing those 65 & over 1st to give them a chance to safely exit the building. We ask that as you leave, any visiting be done outside in the open air as to promote safe social distancing, and to allow the re-sanitization of the church to begin.
9). Please sit with family members that you have been in contact with during this time for the safety and well-being of all. Also, we would ask that you would restrict movement in/out of service as much as possible in order to provide a best “social distancing” practice.
10). At the present time, the Welcome Center will be staffed but we will not be shaking hands as we greet each other or first-time guests. Also, we are asking individuals who wish to fellowship with one another to do that outside of the building as not to congest the halls, stairs, or Welcome area. We are happy to just be able to come in and worship together and see your faces!
11).To promote the cleanliness and sanitization of the sanctuary, we are asking that food and drinks be prohibited.
12). As always, practice good hygiene – wash your hands, avoid touching your face, and sneeze or cough into a tissue or the inside of your elbow.
